Mr. Ferree was born Ashland, Ohio, on June 20, 1947. He was admitted to the state bars of Kansas and Missouri in 1974 as well as the United States District Courts for Kansas and Missouri and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Eighth and Tenth circuits. His undergraduate degree was completed at the University of Kansas (B.S., 1969).

He completed his legal education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (J.D. 1973). Mr. Ferree is a member of the Kansas, Missouri, Johnson County, Kansas and Greater Kansas City Metropolitan bar associations. Mr. Ferree was the Vice-president (1998-1999), President-elect (1999-2000) and President (2000-2001) of the Johnson County Bar Association. Mr. Ferree practices in the areas of general business law, corporate law, real estate law, general and business litigation and law enforcement and civil rights defense.
