Mr. O'Grady was born in Red Oak, Iowa on March 17, 1962. He was admitted to Kansas state, federal and Tenth Circuit Court of Appeal bars in 1987. He received his undergraduate degree from Rockhurst College (B.A. 1984) and his legal degree from the University of Kansas (J.D. 1987). Mr. O'Grady is a member of the American, Kansas and Johnson County bar associations. He served as the President Elect (1998-1999) and President (1999-2000) of the Kansas Bar Association Family Law Section and was section editor in 2000-2001. He has been the Chair of the Johnson County Bar Association's Family Law Bench-Bar Committee from 1996 to the present. He is a frequent speaker on family law topics ranging from divorce practice, child custody and support, bankruptcy and divorce issues, the division of property, spousal support and legal ethics. Mr. O'Grady practices primarily in the areas of family law, general business law and civil litigation. Mr. O'Grady also provides mediation services in family law cases.
